Is there anyone out there with Kile all crop concaves that could give some recommendations on combine settings for a 2388 harvesting dry green peas? The peas are 13 moisture and the stems are dry, but I have some tough volunteer canola stems to deal with. What settings do you like to use in your 2388's or similar combines?

As a side note we installed Kile rotor flights, transition bars, and the 505td bars under the concaves.

What size slots do your concaves have? I've use the 1/4" slots in wheat and canola with great success, but I think I'd want something wider for peas.

Hi TA! Thanks for replying. So my kile concaves have slots that measure 1/2” across the opening. It’s been a few years since I’ve harvested a pea crop, but I used to use round bar concaves for the job.

I ended up using these settings: Rotor 400, Fan 1200, Bottom Seive wide open, Chaffer open approximately 5/8", Concaves set at 3.1 in the cab or approximately 1" clearance from the bars on the right side.

I have a flagship machine but those settings are pretty close to what I run in peas. About the only difference is I run my rotor about 240 RPM and the concave clearance about 1.4".
