Hello. Looking to use our 8440 as an auger tractor to run an Brandt 1380hp. Problem is, it articulates when starting. Is this normal? Can we lock out the hydraulics with hydraulic locks? Something else? I have read it could be hydraulic leak or a seal. Also, backing up in reverse, A1 is very fast and it would seem difficult to get into position without riding the clutch. The clutch light comes on within 3 seconds if you do so. Any help appreciated.

Sorry. It is a Brandt 1380xl auger. Thanks.

There are locks available but I think they're a dealer special tool. It is only a piece of 1" flat bar if I remember right. Been awhile since I've had a need for one. You could put cylinder stops on the steering cylinders as well. That would be the easiest. Taking out the rear pin would be a pain but it would be effective.
