Hi guys, so we bought a 630f head and converted our 9650 sts to fit for it. We had to change the header height controller and had someone change the settings in service advisor and all. We went to first try out the combine after replacing the header controller with our 693 head. The 1, 2, and 3 memory buttons will not save nor let the head pick all the way up. So green star is always recording. You can manually pick the head all the way up to stop recording but it’s super annoying. I tried to do a header height calibration and when I do it I get a er91 which Deere states is “Flex/belt center header height sensor voltage less than 0.5VDC”. I dont believe since adding onto the main harness and reprogramming the new controller that the 693 has this sensor anyways. What do I need to do so that I can calubrate the header height on the combine easily?

Your are correct that the 693 does not have a center sensor. I'm thinking that the header is not being recognized as a corn head....see below.
  1. Its possible you have stray voltage on the wire. Moisture in the connector, etc, can cause this. Fairly common - you get about 0.5V sitting on an unused pin, and the computer thinks there is something there that is not working right. Try cleaning & blowing out the connector.
  2. The combine thinks the 693 is still a flex header. This could be due to again - poor connection, OR - something wrong with the programming of the new controller. Look at diagnostic address EO1-50. It should read 0404.
    1. If the first 2 digits are not 04, then check your header select wiring at the header plug. (pins 4-28 should have continuity)
    2. If the first 2 are 04, but the last 2 are not - then its a controller issue.
